JA Alumni Asia Pacific is recruiting passionate individuals across the region to become committee members and spearhead the JA Alumni initiative in our region. This is the first fiscal year that we are looking for alumni to own and run the regional operation 100%. This means that you have a moderate amount of autonomy to create a vision for JA Alumni Asia Pacific and build the JA Alumni regional footprint, while gaining tangible learning experiences and expand your network.  With the support from JA Asia Pacific and existing JA alumni AP champion, the JA Alumni committee will have access to a full JA Alumni chapter handbook ready for planning and implementation straight away!


JA Asia Pacific is providing a platform for alumni in the region to extend their learning opportunities from the attended JA program to the real world!  Once you take on a role within the committee, you will become an integral part of alumni regional leaders who facilitate the operation of alumni chapters across 18 JA Asia Pacific locations, and liaises with alumni leaders from JA Worldwide and around the world to strategize and implement JA alumni initiatives in the region.

Oversee operation of JA Alumni Asia Pacific

Provide bi-weekly update to JA Asia Pacific on alumni matters

Collaborate with global alumni team (JA Worldwide and 5 JA regions across the globe) bimonthly

Motivate and guide committee members to achieve common goals and vision of the term


        Head of Events, Projects, and Opportunities | x2

Planning, strategizing, and executing projects

Negotiate and collaborate with corporate sponsors

Bridging opportunities and create community engagement

Newsletter management

Social Media management

Website and Gather management

Branding and public relations

           Head of Finance and Sponsorships | x2

Maintain healthy cashflow


Negotiate partnerships deals with companies


Build quarterly financial reports and present annual report during annual general meeting

Build a model to funnel grants to local chapters for alumni program utilization


          Head of Country Coordinators | x2 

Assist 18 JA locations across Asia Pacific to implement JA Alumni in their programming

Provide extensive support to local alumni leaders to expand alumni base and opportunities

General Information

•Term duration: July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022


•Workload is estimated at 2-3 hours per week


•Committee meeting every 3 weeks


•Regional meeting every 7 weeks


•Regional annual general meeting - first week of June

What is JA Alumni and the Gather Alumni Platform?

JA Alumni aims to gather students who have gone through any JA programs and build a global community of like-minded individuals. JA impacts more than 12 million students every year and the alumni initiative is built to cultivate lifelong learning experiences in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, providing opportunities for growth in career and life, and support start-ups and businesses.


The Gather Alumni platform is an online platform connecting more than 100 million alumni around the globe.
